Tina started her professional career working with children 40 years ago; initially working in early years settings in a variety of practitioner and leadership roles before becoming a Children’s Day Care Inspector in 1994.
Tina qualified as a social worker in 1999. Since then, she has undertaken a variety of social work and leadership roles safeguarding and protecting children.
Tina also has experience of being the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and a Local Authority’s Principal Child Protection Officer. This involved responding to allegations made against adults who work with children and multi-agency partnership responsibilities as the Local Authority’s Officer for a Local Safeguarding Board.
Currently, Tina works as a Service Delivery Manager for Family Support and Child Protection, in a local authority that Ofsted has recently rated Outstanding. Tina also has lead responsibility as the local authority’s strategic lead for child exploitation specialising in contextual safeguarding.
